Military Gas Masks
 Designed
for use by military, civil defense, police, fire and emergency personnel,
the MF-10 Respirator stands at the forefront in advanced respiratory
protection. This lightweight, state-of-the-art gas mask provides the
wearer the utmost protection in hostile environments where there is
potential for contamination by nuclear, biological or chemical (NBC)
agents. The MF-10 is available in three sizes to fit most mature male or
female users, and is designed for wear over extended periods. It can
accommodate a left or right-handed canister option and is compatible with
a range of user equipment including protective clothing, protective
headgear, weapons, optical sights, communications, and is equipped with an
integral drinking facility. The MF-10 also offers excellent visual clarity
with its advanced lenses providing an exceptional large field of vision.
Additionally, the rubber used in the manufacture of the MF-10 is
specifically for high mustard gas.
 The
MF-10 Military Respirator utilizes an externally mounted gas-particulate
filter canister providing protection against all aerosol and gas/vapor
threats and accepts all NATO DIN standard thread filter elements. When
fitted with the C2 gas-particulate filter or CP-4 gas-particulate filter,
the MF-10 meets all requirements of NATO TRIPTYCH AC/225 (Panel VII)
D/103. The respirator meets all requirements for chemical agent resistance
(VX, GB, HD), dynamic outlet valve function, gas life against all chemical
agents (DMMP, GB, CG) and aerosols (DOP), air flow resistance, face seal
performance, and resistance to shock. The MF-10 is manufactured under DEF
STAN 05-21 for quality, DEF STAN 05-24 for inspection, and the following
standards for testing: DEF STAN 93-24, DEF STAN 93-31, BS-903, BS-2091,
BS-2092, BS-2752, and BS-6001.
The lenses are manufactured from optical plastic and are surface treated
for high strength and abrasion resistance. The lenses provide 75% visual
field in accordance with NATOAC-225/1973. The lens shape provides a wide
visual field and excellent optical properties with low distortion.
In its design, an airguide is provided to sweep inlet air along the
interior surface of the lenses to maintain nearly identical temperature on
both sides to reduce fogging. Air then enters the mask's nosecup and is
subsequently expired through the low resistance exhaust valve. The exhaust
valve is directly integrated with a unique megaphone voicemitter that
efficiently transmits voice communications. An optional valve is available
to operate the mask under positive pressure (overpressurization valve)
supplied by an external blower.
